The Temple of Lylyth was create by Rev. Shane Vedvik and a small group of other Dark Pagans in Portage Wisconsin back in October 1999. Shortly thereafter a website was designed and membership applications were taken from a much wider area. This allowed the ToL to grow very quickly, and beyond the leadership skills that Rev. Vedvik felt he had. In 2001 Rev. Vedvik resigned from active membership in the ToL to pursue self improvement.
Rev. Vedvik left the administration of the Temple of Lylyth in the hands of Mr. K. Fox, and eventually returned to active involvement in the ToL. Mr. Fox continued to administer the Temple of Lylyth, sometimes in conjunction with others until personal problems caused him to leave the organization in search of a Path that would be better for him, leaving Rev. Vedvik and Rev. Crabtree as the joint administrators of the Temple. At this time Mr. Fox started an organisation he called the "True Temple of Lylyth" which is in no way affiliated with the Temple of Lylyth
Administrative duties eventually proved more than Rev. Crabtree could manage, and her membership in the Temple of Lylyth was terminated in 2006. Her position was unfilled until October 31st, 2007, when Rev. K. Vedvik was appointed by the Board of Directors as the new High Priestess.
